VIVID is looking forward to seeing how the exclusive ‘THE WHITE CLUB’ events go this week, featuring one of its exclusive wine clients – G., with their latest vintage G.2010.
“This exclusive event, which is taking place for the first time in South Africa, will raise the profile of the South African wine industry by fully establishing its presence in the international market and in the ‘World of First Growths’ wine network,” said The Wine Club spokesperson Malene Meisner, co-owner of FINE Magazine and the founder of Vinovisitas, an exclusive wine networking site.
South Africa is on the list of cities, together with Hong Kong, New York, Prague, Vienna and Tokyo to name but a few. VIVID wine client G. has been selected as the only SA wine in this world series of events (their G.2010 wine is on the list), together with Vin de Constance.
The White Club is an intercontinental private members club that organises the rarest wine tastings in the world for its members, who are connoisseurs, collectors and passionate wine people. The non-profit club is donating all event proceeds of the South African events to iThemba, a local charity that assists children who have been affected by HIV/AIDS.
In addition to the array of internationally celebrated vintages, two hand-picked South African wines are on the list – G.2010 and Vin de Constance. Six of the international wines to be tasted have also received perfect scores in Robert Parker’s 100–point wines.
The Johannesburg event is taking place tonight at the Saxon, and the Cape Town event on Saturday, at the Taj’s Presidential Suite. Tickets costs R25, 000/person. For more information on G.2010, visit http://www.peakofexcitement.com
