Patek Philippe embodies family values in new ad campaign

The new 2010 Advertising campaign from exclusive watchmaker Patek Philippe captures the emotion and timeless values of the brand’s unique family heritage.

Shot by renowned photographers Peter Lindbergh for the Men’s and Veronique Vial for the Ladies Campaigns respectively, the campaign reflects the Patek Philippe brand values, its family heritage, unique levels of craftsmanship, and constant innovation.

The new campaign reflects the uniqueness of a brand where the values and behavior matter to its clients just as much as the technical aspects of the timepieces themselves. Patek Philippe has never needed to use celebrity endorsements or brand ambassadors; the quality and exclusivity of a Patek Philippe watch speaks for itself.

This season’s campaign continues the international advertising campaign, launched in 1996, which holds the strap-line “begin your own tradition”. This season interprets the theme by capturing the moments of the close relationship between father and son, and mother and daughter, reflecting the special emotion that a Patek Philippe watch inspires in its owner – the desire to pass on to those held closest.

The new Ladies campaign builds a strong emotional connection with women who understand the enduring value and profound beauty of something truly precious. The first chapter draws a parallel between the timeless beauty and value of a Patek Philippe watch and the eternal beauty and pureness of a mother-daughter relationship. It introduces the strap-line: “Something truly precious holds its beauty forever”.

The Institutional advertising campaign, which runs alongside the renowned Men’s and Ladies’ campaigns, creates a personalized dialogue with the reader and again emphasizes the deeply rooted family values and unbroken history of the brand. The Patek Philippe Seal, launched in 2009, remains at the centre of all the messages as a symbol of the company’s values.

Patek Philippe timepieces are exclusively available at The Watch and Jewellery Gallery in Southern Africa, and are located at Shop 33, Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton, Johannesburg. For more information please contact the store on 011-7842587 or visit
