Burberry is no longer just a treat for the eyes but now with the release of their own song, the fashion brand is also providing a treat for the ears. The label is the first high-fashion brand to come out with a signature music single. This track was recorded by wildly popular British band The Feeling at the iconic Abbey Road recording studio in London earlier this year. The track will be featured in the ad campaign for Burberry’s newest fragrance, Burberry Body.
According to Burberry’s chief creative officer Christopher Bailey, the brand worked closely with The Feeling to develop a sound as signature as Burberry’s new fragrance. “Music is a hugely important facet of the Burberry world and with the launch of Burberry Body we wanted to create an iconic soundtrack that reflects the sensuality and attitude of the fragrance,” explained Bailey.
In order get the sultry sound to reflect the sensual notes of the fragrance, The Feeling developed a unique acoustic version of their song Rosé. While the song is currently being used in the Burberry Body campaign, it will be released as its own single on 10 October. The song captures not only the quintessential British style attributed to Burberry but also displays a sound as unique and timeless as the designs that regularly grace the brand’s runway.
