Forevermark, the diamond brand from The De Beers Group of Companies, recently hosted a large delegation from Hong Kong in Johannesburg as part of a trip to southern Africa to experience the journey of a Forevermark diamond. The delegation included celebrities, actress Karena Ng and music artist and fashion commentator Wyman Wong and journalists from publications including Cosmopolitan Hong Kong.
Forevermark is very popular in Asia, where the rapidly expanding luxury market places a high value on the individial inscription number which appears on every Forevermark diamond and the promise that it represents. Less than 1% of the world’s diamonds are eligible to be inscribed as Forevermark and to be numbered, which makes them very precious and unique.
The trip to Southern Africa also saw the delegation visit a diamond mine, the DTC sorting facilities in Botswana where rough diamonds are sorted and valued and local South African jewellers who sell Forevermark diamonds.
Actress Karena Ng has starred in numerous Chinese movies and was recently photographed in Forevermark at the Asian Film Awards, where she wore Forevermark earrings and rings, one of which was the Forevermark Setting Halo diamond ring, which is available in South Africa in all the Authorised Forevermark Jewellers.
The delegation visited the store Lorraine Efune in Sandton City, Johannesburg, to peruse the Forevermark collections and Karena Ng tried on some Forevermark red carpet neckpieces and other Forevermark jewellery.
