What we’ve seen from Spring/Summer 2013 Couture is enchanting; it is impossible not to adore such audacious and over the top fabrication, design and personalities. The shows were spectacular, highlighting the exceptional calibre of designers. Four of our favourite Spring/Summer 2013 Couture Collections were Giambattista Valli, Stephane Rolland, Elie Saab and Chanel.
Giambattista Valli showcased his flare for creativity through classic bold colours, beautiful fabrication and interesting shapes, creating timeless hourglass silhouettes. Stephane Rolland created dramatic and gorgeous ensembles through bold, eye-catching ruffles, distinctive fabrics and modest colouring.
Elie Saab designs shimmer, sparkle and shine; the Spring/Summer 2013 couture collection was no different. The collection was elegant, sophisticated and feminine, perfect for the upcoming Oscars. Gothic make-up, tweed, leather and lace made for an intriguingly artful and intricate Chanel collection. The collection emphasized the shoulders on each ensemble through various detail, off-the-shoulder dresses and shoulder hugging designs.
