Thursday 5 May – Last night’s launch event for the BOSS store opening at the Mall of Africa was hugely successful, and coaxed out 200 of South Africa’s best and brightest in attendance. The store was transformed into a VIP experience with top industry business men and women. Nomzamo Mbatha, Terry Pheto, Leanne Manas and Sarah Langa all stole the show in their BOSS outfits, but the gents weren’t far behind with Zakes Bantwini, Maps Maponyane, Thapelo Mokoena and Trevor Stuurman looking dapper in their fitted suits.
Master Chef SA’s Benny Masekwameng treated guests to a bespoke starter while Zakes Bantwini and band’s stellar performance had everyone on their feet. MC Maps Maponyane introduced Christa Overhues, Director Wholesale at HUGO BOSS International Markets, who then opened the store. “BOSS has been very well supported in South Africa and we’re delighted to introduce both men’s and women’s wear in this first BOSS store with the B7 Plus concept at the Mall of Africa – offering the best of both worlds to our loyal customers”, says Overhues.
This BOSS store is the first in South Africa to showcase both men’s and womenswear in one elegant setting and as the who’s who of Joburg explored the latest BOSS collections, DJ Ph was on top form, keeping the mood high in the store. Fashionistas will be delighted by the fashion capsule accessories showcased at New York Fashion Week which will be available in store. These include the BOSS Bespoke bag – such as the one worn by Terry Pheto last night.
This exclusive event epitomised the understated luxury and style synonymous with BOSS. By the end of the night #ThisIsBoss was trending nationally.
