Anina Malherbe – Founder and Managing Director
Anina’s 15 years’ experience in various categories within the retail environment in South Africa, such as fashion, jewellery, accessories, along with her success at assisting the strategic positioning of various luxury brands in the South African marketplace, provides her with an intimate knowledge of the high-end consumer environment.
After many years in different roles, her passion, ambition and experience eventually prompted her to start Vivid Luxury in 2007. Vivid has since grown into a highly successful boutique agency, with offices in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, and manages to attract contracts with some of the most prestigious international luxury brands in the world. Since starting her company, Anina’s been asked to speak at South Africa’s first Luxury Summit (in 2008), and been interviewed by magazines such as Destiny, Entrepreneur, Fabulous Woman and industry magazine Advantage.
Anina’s personal philosophy and her commitment to perfection, along with her drive to deliver only the best results for her clients, ultimately puts expertise into practice for Vivid and its team of skilled professionals.
Dorothy has had a passion for the luxury goods industry since a very young age. Initially qualifying as a lawyer, Dorothy decided to pursue her true passion and to further her studies with an MBA specializing in Luxury Brand Management, at the University of Monaco. This school offers a specialist MBA programme on the area of luxury so it was a natural choice for Dorothy.
Dorothy has sound international luxury brand experience and a deep understanding for the industry. Having grown up in the US, and spending time in countries as diverse as Ghana, Algeria, South Africa and Monaco, Dorothy combines a wealth of knowledge, creativity, passion and know-how.
Her core competencies range from business development, brand positioning, strategic marketing, online marketing, campaign development and PR. Before Dorothy joined VIVID, she worked for Citibank South Africa.
Dorothy joined VIVID in January 2012 as Regional Director of their new Johannesburg office, and looks forward to help developing new markets for VIVID.
Grant Davison – Account Director
Grant Davison joined VIVID in 2012 as Account Director in the Cape Town office. Prior to this Grant held various positions in PR, Marketing, Strategy and Events for both local and international companies and has consulted and advised numerous high-profile brands in South Africa such as Quintessentially, LVMH, Rolls-Royce Motors, ExecuJet, and Louis XIII Cognac de Remy Martin to name a few, giving him an extensive background in premium and luxury goods and services market.
A published contributor to numerous magazines, newspapers and providing commentary on both television and radio on the luxury and premium goods industry, Grant is regarded as one of South Africa’s leading mass–affluent and luxury brand strategists. Grant enjoys traditional hobbies such as wing shooting, watching polo and sailing and is a Founding Member of LuxurySociety.
